About Nick Halla
My passion is to build businesses leading clean technology development and commercialization to create a more environmentally sustainable world and to tackle climate change. This led me from farming (family business) to commercial food development (engineer at General Mills) to renewable energy (Cogenra Solar) to most recently building Impossible Foods, Kite Hill and InnerPlant. At Impossible, I teamed up with a Stanford Professor who had a huge vision for how to create an immensely better food system without the massive environmental impact of today’s system. We built Impossible Foods from the ground up forming an amazing team and developing and commercializing delicious, sustainable plant-based foods to address many global food production issues - efficiency, scalability, safety, health, food security, and more. By creating delicious foods, we changed the way consumers and industries view food as a key part of tackling our biggest global environmental issues. Now, I'm working on building new companies to tackle climate change and I'm advising several companies on how to build and grow their companies. More details coming soon!
