Humanitarian Work in Syria and Jordan

Since 2011, iMMAP Inc. has been assisting humanitarian actors responding to the Syria crisis, focusing on critical information management support. The company established the Information Management Resource Center (IMRC) in Syria to aid the Whole of Syria structure with IM, coordination, and capacity building services. In Jordan, iMMAP has supported the information management needs of humanitarian actors since 2011, based in Amman. The company has trained 1,131 humanitarian actors in information management since May 2017, enhancing the capacity for humanitarian response.

Presence in Nigeria and Ethiopia

In Nigeria, iMMAP Inc. set up the Humanitarian Information Analysis Unit (HIAU) in 2021 to provide IM support to partners collaborating with OCHA. The company delivers IM services across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states with support from the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). In Ethiopia, iMMAP has been active since 2017, providing support to OCHA and clusters by deploying national and international IM officers. The company strives to offer an integrated solution to challenges in Ethiopia through IM services, data analysis, and staff capacity building.

Projects and Impact in Colombia

iMMAP Inc. has been operating in Colombia since 2009, undertaking projects with organizations like IOM, OCHA, UNDP, and the Resident Coordinator’s Office. The company leads the EVIDEM Consortium, which aims to bolster humanitarian response through evidence-based decision-making supported by IM. iMMAP also provides services to sectors such as Education, Food Security and Nutrition, Health, Socio-Economic Integration, and WASH under the GIFMM umbrella, contributing to the broader humanitarian effort in the country.
