History of Industrial Scientific
Industrial Scientific began as the research division of the National Mine Service Company, focusing on developing instrumentation to detect methane gas. The company transitioned to a private entity in 1985 after being sold by NMS. In 2017, Industrial Scientific was acquired by Fortive Corporation, which later acquired Intelex Technologies in 2019 to enhance the capabilities of Industrial Scientific in hardware-enabled software workflows.
