Chad Jens serves as the Head of People Experience at Intrinsic, a position he has held since 2021. In this role, he has been instrumental in building the People Experience function from the ground up, being the first hire in this area. He successfully launched Greenhouse and established the surrounding recruiting infrastructure. Jens also led the M&A HR workstreams for the acquisitions of Vicarious and Open Robotics, demonstrating his capability in managing complex HR processes within a rapidly evolving organization.

Before joining Intrinsic, Chad Jens held several significant roles in various organizations. He worked as the Head of People Experience at X, the moonshot factory for one month in 2021. Prior to that, he was the Recruiting Operations Manager at Waymo from 2020 to 2021. Jens also served as the Head of HR & Recruiting Operations at Chronicle for two years, from 2018 to 2020. His experience at Google included multiple roles in People Operations, where he contributed to various HR initiatives over a span of four years.

Chad Jens holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Chaminade University of Honolulu, which he completed in 2012. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2011. His educational background supports his expertise in people operations and educational methodologies, which he has applied throughout his career in various roles, including teaching and HR.
