JEVS Human Services has been dedicated to workforce development and community support for over 80 years, serving over 16,000 clients annually through a variety of programs including career education, home care, and services for individuals with disabilities.

Company History

JEVS Human Services was established in 1941 with the primary goal of aiding Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis during World War II. Originally focused on helping individuals in distress, the organization has grown over the years to include a wide scope of social services. Today, JEVS Human Services supports individuals with disabilities, those facing unemployment and underemployment, and provides a variety of programs tailored to meet these needs.

Workforce Development Programs

JEVS Human Services has a long-standing commitment to workforce development, helping employers source and hire motivated employees. The organization offers customized training programs to build effective teams. It also provides career counseling and job placement assistance, especially for the older adult demographic through its Career Solutions for 55+ program. Additionally, JEVS Human Services is the intermediary for Career Connected Learning PHL (C2L-PHL), a youth workforce initiative in Philadelphia.

Career and Technical Education

JEVS Human Services operates Orleans Technical College, accredited for building trades and healthcare training. The organization offers a variety of career and technical education programs aimed at preparing individuals for in-demand industries. These programs help bridge the skill gap by providing vocational training that aligns with current job market needs.

Home and Community-Based Services
