James Shortle serves as the Director of Information Security at Kaleyra, a position he has held since 2023. In this role, he has managed the integration of three independently certified Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). He led the transition of Kaleyra's information security framework from ISO 27001:2013 to ISO 27001:2022. Additionally, he enhanced Kaleyra's Business Continuity Program by implementing a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and a Business Continuity Test Schedule.

His roles have included Business Operations Manager at DXC Technology and IT Manager at the Cabinet Office. He has conducted over 150 ISO27001 audits and has supported over 70 companies in achieving ISO27001 certification.
