Additional services include a Care Navigator Tool to streamline access to needed services, a Healthy Living Program featuring fitness, arts & crafts, technology, and health education classes, and volunteer opportunities for community engagement.
History
Kin On has a rich history of innovation and community service in elder care. As the first bilingual Chinese-American nursing home in the nation, they have been pioneers in culturally appropriate eldercare. Significant milestones include the launch of the Healthy Living Program in 2016, the merging with Asian Seniors Concerns Foundation in 2017, and the completion of Phase II of their expansion project in 2019. Notably, Kin On received the Community Health Excellence Award from Northwest Asian Weekly and the Award of Excellence in Community Service from LeadingAge Washington in 2021.
