SouthPark Forward 2035 Vision Plan
In 2023, LandDesign collaborated with SouthPark Community Partners on the SouthPark Forward 2035 Vision Plan, which aims to define the future of the SouthPark area. This project outlines strategic development and planning initiatives designed to enhance the community’s growth over the next decade.
River District Project
The River District project in Charlotte, NC, covers 1,400 acres and includes a significant blend of land uses. It features 8 million square feet of office space, 500,000 square feet of retail, 1,000 hotel rooms, and 4,500 residential units. It also allocates 75 acres for civic uses, including schools, and preserves 550 acres for greenways, parks, trails, and open space. The project is designed to support urban living while providing direct access to nature, aiming to create an engaging and walkable community.
Notable Projects
LandDesign has been involved in numerous high-profile projects. The Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Charlotte, NC, resulted in significant environmental restoration and the planting of 500 new trees. The Lowe's Corporate Headquarters in Mooresville, NC, includes a 400,000-square-foot building surrounded by an immersive landscape and a seven-acre lake. The Tysons project in Tysons, VA, is a massive urbanization effort expected to house up to 100,000 residents by 2050. The Reynolds Lake Oconee project in Greensboro, GA, integrates luxury amenities with a continuous open space network to create a serene, differentiated experience.
