Adoption and Guardianship Support Services
Lifeline Youth & Family Services offers Adoption and Guardianship Support Services (AGSS) through a partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services. The program includes providing support groups for families involved in adoption or guardianship, available both online and in-person. The organization also hosts monthly in-person and online support groups for Resource Families to ensure ongoing support and community connection.
Home-Based Services for Families
Lifeline Youth & Family Services provides a comprehensive range of Home-Based Services designed to support families directly in their homes. These services include family casework, family therapy, supervised visitations, parent aid services, and parent education. By utilizing evidence-based practices like Family Centered Treatment (FCT), 1-2-3 Magic, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), the organization focuses on conflict resolution, problem-solving, and improving communication within families.
Evidence-Based Therapeutic Practices
The organization is committed to using evidence-based practices to enhance the quality of care for families. Some of the methodologies employed include Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These practices are applied through various programs such as Family Preservation Services (FPS) and trauma-focused therapy for children experiencing behavioral or emotional issues due to traumatic events.

Lifeline Youth & Family Services serves all 92 counties in Indiana, ensuring that local staff are available to care for families within every community. With over 500 employees across the state, the organization provides 24/7 crisis intervention, standardized weekly safety checks, and various home-based family-centered services. In 2022, staff members logged a total of 282,790 hours working directly with clients, addressing approximately 3,500 referrals per week.
Training and Educational Support
Lifeline Youth & Family Services offers Continuous Education Units (CEU) training courses, covering topics like Positive Psychology and Self-Care. Additionally, the organization provides in-home support to help homemakers and parents develop essential skills such as budgeting, childcare, house cleaning, cooking, time management, social skills, hygiene, and problem-solving. This comprehensive support aims to empower families and promote a stable, nurturing environment.
