MiHIN partners with the Interoperability Institute to offer internship and workforce development programs. It hosts webinars and workshops to discuss business, technical, and operational updates. The organization’s Cross Sector Data Sharing program focuses on reducing health disparities by developing a cross-sector data exchange approach.
Technological Infrastructure

The organization is undergoing an 18-24 month technological migration to enhance its infrastructure, aimed at preventing diagnostic, medication, and communication errors. MiHIN’s interoperable digital fabric ensures statewide connectivity between all health and wellness entities. The organization also drives technology adoption and quality improvement through its initiatives.
Use Case Factory®

This program supports the organization’s commitment to improving information fluidity and meeting market demands for quality ratings, accountable care, and population health. The Use Case Factory® helps in developing a holistic picture of members’ clinical information, thus enhancing MiHIN’s ability to provide comprehensive healthcare data solutions.
Community Initiatives
MiHIN has established a Community of Practice dedicated to the statewide sharing of data documenting social need identification, referrals, interventions, and outcomes. This initiative aims to support appropriate treatment and follow-up actions, thus playing a crucial role in community health and wellness. Additionally, MiHIN offers competitive benefits and inclusive policies to its workforce, including no-cost health insurance, employer 401(k) contributions, paid holidays, and tuition assistance.
