Programs
Outdoor Outreach offers a variety of programs for youth aged 9-24, including hiking, biking, kayaking, climbing, surfing, rock climbing, and mountain biking. These programs are designed to build resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging while incorporating lessons on sustainability and conservation.
Partnerships and Collaboration
Outdoor Outreach collaborates with over 40 schools and social service agencies to deliver adventure-based positive youth development programming. These partnerships enable the organization to serve diverse communities and impact youth from varied ethnic backgrounds.
Key Initiatives
The key initiatives of Outdoor Outreach include Positive Youth Development, Workforce Development, Environmental Education, and Outdoor Advocacy. The Leadership Program, an 8-week paid training experience for young adults aged 16-21, focuses on workforce development, civic engagement, and outdoor industry skills. Youth advocates also inform decision-makers at various levels on issues related to accessing outdoor spaces.
