Services

Overair is focused on developing and providing eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft for various applications. The company's flagship product, Butterfly, is designed for on-demand transportation that is safe, quiet, fast, and affordable. Overair collaborates with various partners to explore commercial taxi flights, medical transport, cargo transport, and even military uses. Service offerings are aimed at revolutionizing urban air mobility.

The Butterfly eVTOL

Butterfly is Overair's flagship eVTOL aircraft, developed for advanced on-demand transportation. Butterfly can accommodate a pilot, five passengers, and luggage. The aircraft has a range of over 100 miles and reaches speeds up to 200 MPH. As a fully electric vehicle, Butterfly operates with zero emissions. The design includes no single-point failures and the ability to hover with only two of its four propellers, enhancing safety. Its cabin can be custom-configured for various uses, including commuter transport, medical transport, cargo delivery, and military operations.

Technological Innovations

Overair's technology stems from 15 years of rigorous innovation. Key technological advancements include 20+ ft propellers, 200% excess power margins, and best-in-class maneuverability and stability. The Butterfly features low acoustic emissions at 55 dBA and a quad-redundant architecture on key systems. Unique to Overair, Butterfly can hover with only two of its four propellers, ensuring safety and reliability even in challenging conditions. These innovations collectively offer best-in-class performance and safety for urban air mobility.

Locations and Facilities

Overair's headquarters and initial manufacturing facilities are located in Santa Ana, California. For testing, Overair utilizes its flight test facility at the Southern California Logistics Airport in Victorville, California. These locations provide the infrastructure needed to develop, test, and manufacture advanced eVTOL aircraft efficiently and effectively, ensuring adherence to high safety and performance standards.

Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations

Overair has formed several strategic partnerships to expand its eVTOL operations. The company has partnered with Bristow to explore commercial taxi flights using Butterfly. They have also joined forces with Clay Lacy Aviation to introduce advanced air mobility to Southern California. In India, JetSetGo has placed an order for 50 Butterfly eVTOLs to support passenger transport. Collaborations extend to the DFW International Airport for eVTOL operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and with the City of Arlington, Texas, for launching eVTOL operations at Arlington Municipal Airport.
