Pursuit Fellowship Program

Pursuit offers a four-year intensive program designed to assist adults from underserved backgrounds in launching careers in technology. The program is divided into two parts: Pursuit Core, which is approximately 15-20 months of training, and Pursuit Commit, which is about 30 months of career development. Participants, known as Pursuit Fellows, receive industry-standard laptops, monitors, and display adapters free of charge. The curriculum includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express, SQL, React, and Redux.

Pursuit Fellows typically see significant financial and professional growth. They go from earning an average of $18K to over $90K working as software engineers. Over their lifetimes, Fellows generally experience a 400%+ increase in income, earning an average of $2M. Fellows benefit from 3 years of on-the-job support and training to ensure early-career success.

Pursuit employs a comprehensive model that addresses systemic challenges in workforce development. This model includes community development, fellowship training, innovative financing through the Pursuit Bond, and extensive employer services. Pursuit's vision is to create a capital market for workforce development to unlock essential funding for socio-economic issues. Fellows represent diverse demographics: 100% are from low-income backgrounds, 50% are women, trans, or non-binary, 70% are Black or Latine, and 40% are immigrants.
