FAST Technology
The FAST Technology (Field Activated Sample Treatment) from Qvella Corporation accelerates various stages of the microbiology workflow to provide actionable information for bloodstream infections within minutes. It includes processes such as the preferential lysis of sample cells, rapid isolation and concentration of specific target cell types, including pathogenic cells, and extraction-free, in-line e-Lysis™ for producing a clean, NAAT-ready lysate.
FAST PBC Prep Cartridge
The FAST PBC Prep Cartridge is engineered to prepare a Liquid Colony™ from a PBC in roughly 30 minutes. It is utilized in the FAST System to automatically isolate and concentrate microbial cells directly from PBC. This offers a streamlined and effective method for preparing samples for further testing and analysis.
FAST-ID BSI System
The FAST-ID BSI System is designed to identify over 90% of pathogens causing sepsis within less than one hour directly from blood. It provides results as 16 individual test results at either the family, genus, or species level. Currently, the FAST-ID™ is under development and has not been approved for sale. Its performance characteristics are yet to be established.
