Services
Rainbow Health offers comprehensive HIV-specific services including case management, financial assistance, benefits counseling, housing, legal services, peer support, and transportation. Mental health and substance use services are also provided for LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV. The organization provides telehealth services for HIV prevention, STI/STD prevention and treatment, and HIV care services. Rainbow Health's mental health services include individual, group, couple, and family therapy available both in-person and via teletherapy.
Syringe Services Program
Rainbow Health operates the Mainline Syringe Services Program, which is the largest syringe exchange program in Minnesota. This program distributes and collects around 20,000 syringes each month, providing access to unused syringes, education, and HIV prevention and care services. It plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of HIV transmission among people who use injection drugs.
Minnesota AIDSLine
Rainbow Health operates the Minnesota AIDSLine, a statewide information and referral service for HIV-related questions and resources. This service helps connect individuals with the necessary support and services for managing HIV, offering an invaluable resource for those seeking assistance and information.
Free to Be Program
Rainbow Health's Free to Be program offers mental health services and case management for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals aged 14-24. Supported by a $2M grant from the United Health Foundation, this program focuses on addressing the mental health needs of these youth populations, providing essential support and resources to improve their well-being.
Legal Services
Rainbow Health's Legal Services team offers legal advice, brief services, and direct representation for individuals facing healthcare discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. These services aim to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and ensure access to equitable healthcare.
