Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is a leading aerospace and defense contractor known for its advanced aircraft and satellite systems, holding numerous FAA and EASA certifications and partnering with global entities like Spire Global, Inc.

FAA and EASA Certifications

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) holds certification from both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The company operates as an FAA designated Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holder, allowing it to issue Supplemental Type Certificates for the installation of aviation equipment. SNC's commitment to meeting and exceeding regulatory standards is demonstrated through its certifications and ongoing adherence to stringent aviation safety and operational protocols.

Vindlér Satellite Constellation

SNC's Vindlér satellite constellation is engineered to detect and geo-locate objects from low-Earth orbit via targeted radio frequency emissions ranging from VHF to L-band. Each satellite can downlink up to 4GB of data per day and geolocate emitters to a precision within one kilometer. In partnership with Spire Global, Inc., SNC launched four Vindlér satellites on SpaceX's Transporter-9 mission. The constellation is set to expand to over 20 satellites, enhancing its capabilities to track dark vessels and GPS jammers, thereby supporting national security efforts.

RAPCON-X Aircraft

SNC's RAPCON-X is a fully shaped aircraft featuring a functional mission interior with workstations, a galley, lavatories, and crew berthing quarters. Utilizing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and an open mission architecture, RAPCON-X supports rapid modifications and system integrations. Engineering integration has been ongoing for over 20 months through SNC’s internal investment. The aircraft are designed for rapid deployment within hours under a contractor-owned-contractor-operated (COCO) model and are capable of signals intelligence, electro-optical reconnaissance, and synthetic aperture radar use.

TRAX Software

SNC's TRAX software serves as an integration platform designed to support decision-making through a connected battlefield. Its features operationalize data for all domains, aiding command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) missions. TRAX software is adaptable to run on any hardware, capable of exploiting data from a range of tactical radios. The TRAX-enabled TRIK TDL Gateway merges advanced hardware and software to function as a secure, agnostic broker of cross-domain data.

ELINT/ESM Systems Delivery

SNC has delivered over 200 Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) and Electronic Support Measures (ESM) systems to the U.S. Department of Defense, military services, and allied nations around the world. These systems are essential for intercepting and analyzing electronic signals, enhancing situational awareness and operational decision-making. SNC's expertise in ELINT/ESM technologies underscores its pivotal role in national and international defense operations.
