Products
SmartLam North America manufactures a range of mass timber products including CLT (Cross Laminated Timber), Glulam, and SmartShafts. These products are designed to offer excellent strength, stiffness, and vibration properties. The CLT panels are laboratory tested to achieve a 2-hour fire rating and are CNC cut for precision. Glulam products are APA certified and manufactured for high-strength applications. The SmartShaft line includes elevator and stairwell shafts made from CLT, designed to reduce construction time and meet fire and acoustic code requirements.
Manufacturing Facilities
SmartLam North America operates two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Columbia Falls, Montana, and Dothan, Alabama. The Columbia Falls facility features over 120,000 square feet of manufacturing space and an annual production capacity of 1,840,000 cubic feet. The Dothan facility, the first in the U.S. to offer Southern Yellow Pine CLT products, boasts a 225,000 square-foot plant with an annual production capacity of 2,090,000 cubic feet.
Certifications and Standards
SmartLam North America’s products are USDA Bio-Preferred, containing a verified amount of renewable biological ingredients, and are certified by ANSI/APA. They meet all requirements to achieve PRG 320 product certification. The company ensures that all its products are rigorously tested and certified to meet the highest industry standards.
