Founded in 1972 in Boston’s Chinatown, South Cove Community Health Center has been dedicated to providing primary care to the Asian communities in the Greater Boston Area. Over the years, it has expanded to four locations in Boston, two in Quincy, and one in Malden. Throughout its history, the health center has maintained its commitment to its founding principles of accessibility and community-focused care.
Services
South Cove Community Health Center offers a wide range of services aimed at addressing the diverse health needs of the communities it serves. These services include Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/Gyn, Optometry, Behavioral Health, and Dentistry. Additionally, specialty services such as radiology/ultrasound, community healthy heart projects, bone density imaging, and various screening clinics are available. They also provide a Patient Portal for accessing health records and offer financial assistance programs including sliding fees for those who qualify.

South Cove Community Health Center is affiliated with Beth Israel Lahey Health and is a member of the National Health Service Corps. It is also an FTCA deemed community health center and a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b. Moreover, the center is recognized as a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
