History
Spectral was established as a spin-off from Metabolic in 2015. Since then, it has made significant strides, including raising €4 million in crowdfunding in 2022. The company has been recognized in the Top 250 Scale-ups for the third time in 2023. In the same year, ABN Amro invested in Spectral during a Series A investment round. Spectral's headquarters are located at Plotterstraat 22, 1033 RX Amsterdam.
Notable Projects
Spectral has been involved in several notable projects. The Republica Microgrid in Amsterdam North integrates various smart energy systems, including a private microgrid. The Schiphol Trade Park Smart Grid project balances local supply and demand in real-time to manage grid capacity limits. Additionally, the Automated Curtailment module of STELLAR optimizes the wind energy portfolio of Pure Energie.
