Renewable Energy Projects
Terra-Gen has successfully developed over 5 GW of wind, solar, and energy storage projects. The company owns and operates significant assets including 23 wind farms across regions such as Tehachapi, Palm Springs, the Western United States, and New York state. These wind projects produce 3.7 GW of energy, enough to power 350,000 homes annually. Terra-Gen also operates major solar energy projects in California and controls over 1.3 GW of combined renewable energy facilities.
Wind and Solar Energy Milestones
Terra-Gen is known for constructing the largest wind farm and the country’s largest solar + energy storage project. The Edwards Sanborn Solar Storage Phase 1A and 1B projects alone represent a capacity of 807 MW Solar and 971 MW Storage. Terra-Gen has contracted or re-contracted more than 10,000 MW of power generation facilities since 2007 and has additional capacity under construction expected to come online in 2025.
Community Contributions
Terra-Gen is actively involved in community contributions and environmental initiatives. The company has donated $250,000 to the Valley Center Fire Protection District and the Kern County Fire Department for specialized equipment. Additionally, Terra-Gen contributed the same amount to the Edwards Air Force Base Flight Test Museum to sponsor the SR-71 Blackbird exhibition.
