The Boring Company

The Boring Company

The Boring Company creates safe, fast-to-dig, and low-cost transportation, utility, and freight tunnels to solve traffic, enable rapid point-to-point transportation, and transform cities.

Services

The Boring Company focuses on creating safe, fast-to-dig, and low-cost transportation, utility, and freight tunnels. Their mission is to solve traffic, enable rapid point-to-point transportation, and transform cities. They provide solutions that significantly reduce travel time through innovative underground tunnel systems.

Loop Transportation System

The Boring Company developed the Loop, an all-electric, zero-emissions, underground public transportation system designed to transport passengers efficiently across cities. The first commercially operating Loop system is the LVCC Loop, located at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This system substantially decreased the cross-campus walk time from 45 minutes to approximately 2 minutes.

Prufrock Tunnel Boring Machine

Prufrock is The Boring Company's advanced tunnel boring machine, intended for constructing mega-infrastructure projects in a fraction of the time previously required. Capable of tunneling at a speed of 1 mile per week, Prufrock operates six times faster than previous generation tunnel boring machines (TBM). This enables accelerated development of transportation infrastructure.

Vegas Loop Project

The Vegas Loop aims to significantly reduce travel time in Las Vegas by transporting a high capacity of passengers quickly and efficiently. This project is designed to transform how people move around the city, alleviating congestion and improving urban mobility through an extensive underground loop system.

Hyperloop Development

The Boring Company's Hyperloop is an ultra-high-speed public transportation concept where passengers travel in autonomous electric pods at speeds exceeding 600 miles per hour. In 2016, the company constructed a 0.8 mile Hyperloop Test Track to conduct high-speed pod tests, marking a significant step towards revolutionizing rapid transit with minimal travel times between distant locations.
