Formed in 1999, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) brings together chief executives of prominent corporations, foundations, and universities in Central Indiana. Over the years, CICP has launched several key initiatives to promote economic growth and innovation in Indiana. Some notable projects include the 16 Tech Innovation District and the Indiana GPS Project. CICP has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering industry sector development through collaboration and strategic investments.
CICP Key Initiatives
CICP sponsors five main sector-focused initiatives: AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana, and TechPoint. AgriNovus Indiana aims to boost Indiana's agbioscience economy. Ascend Indiana connects job seekers with career opportunities and offers consulting services to address workforce needs. BioCrossroads promotes the growth of the life sciences sector through investment and collaboration. Conexus Indiana enhances Indiana's position in advanced manufacturing and logistics. TechPoint drives growth in the state's digital innovation economy and tech ecosystem. Each initiative contributes to CICP's overarching goals of economic development and industry advancement.

Business Equity for Indy
Business Equity for Indy is a partnership initiative formed by CICP and the Indy Chamber to promote fairness and inclusion for the Black population and other people of color in Indianapolis. In 2022, Business Equity for Indy introduced a framework focusing on People, Procurement, and Policy to ensure equitable opportunities and outcomes. The initiative reflects CICP's dedication to addressing systemic inequities and fostering an inclusive business environment in Central Indiana.
IN ADVANCE Summit and AI in Indiana Survey
In 2022, CICP launched the IN ADVANCE Summit, an educational event aimed at high school students and early-career talent to promote advanced industries in Indiana. Additionally, the AI in Indiana survey revealed that 55% of respondents had adopted at least one AI capability, identifying manufacturing, marketing, sales, and product or service development as primary areas of AI use. These initiatives underscore CICP's commitment to preparing a skilled workforce and embracing emerging technologies.
