Global Program for Women Entrepreneurs
TiE Women hosts a global program that offers over $100,000 in equity-free cash prizes to women entrepreneurs. The program is designed to support both early-stage and late-stage startups that are founded or co-founded by women, with the women co-founders owning at least 33% of the equity. Eligibility for participation requires companies to be registered on or after January 1, 2017. The initiative aims to foster innovation and business growth among women-led startups.
Program Pillars
TiE Women's programs are built on six key pillars: learning, mentoring, access to funding, scalability, safe space, and community. These pillars provide a comprehensive support system for women entrepreneurs, helping them to enhance their skills, gain valuable mentorship, secure funding, scale their businesses, and build a supportive network. This multifaceted approach is designed to address the specific challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and to promote their success in the business world.
Startup Acceleration
Since its inception, TiE Women has accelerated over 400 women-led startups. The initiative has engaged more than 100 mentors and experts who provide valuable guidance and support to these startups. By enabling access to a global network of experts, TiE Women helps women entrepreneurs to overcome obstacles and achieve their business objectives. This targeted acceleration effort has contributed to the growth and development of numerous women-owned businesses.
Funding and Grants
TiE Women has distributed equity-free grants worth over $350,000 to 16 women-led startups. In addition to these grants, the program provides substantial equity-free cash prizes that collectively exceed $100,000. This financial support is critical for women entrepreneurs as it enables them to invest in their businesses, experiment with new ideas, and achieve their growth targets without the burden of equity dilution. Through these grants and prizes, TiE Women fosters a more inclusive and diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Global Reach and Community
TiE Women's impact is global, having received over 6000 applications from women entrepreneurs across 62 countries. This extensive reach underscores the program's commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs worldwide. The initiative also conducts various events such as Global Pitch Competitions, Open Mic Nights, and Active Learning Workshops, providing platforms for women to showcase their startups, share ideas, and learn from industry experts. These events facilitate community building and create opportunities for networking and collaboration among women entrepreneurs globally.
