Uplift Education has been operational for 27 years. During this time, it has grown to encompass a network of 45 schools spread across 20 campuses. Uplift Education has consistently focused on empowering students to reach their highest potential in college and the global marketplace through its mission to create and sustain public schools of excellence.
Student Demographics and Support
Uplift Education serves 23,000 students for the 2023-2024 academic year, with 80% of these students being economically disadvantaged. The organization offers a variety of support services, including after-school care and access to programs in dance, theater, science, and sports, along with a full array of special education services.
College Preparedness and Success Rates
Uplift Education boasts a 100% college acceptance rate for the past 20 years. Its college preparedness rate is 13% higher than the state average, and its college degree attainment rate is four times the national average. Uplift Education’s Class of 2023, consisting of 950 seniors, achieved 100% college acceptance and garnered more than 4,000 acceptances from colleges and universities.
Road to College & Career Program
Uplift Education's Road to College & Career program starts in middle school and extends well beyond high school graduation. The program offers career exposure, college field trips, customized guidance in choosing the right college and career path, family involvement, and alumni success counselors. Alumni are also supported through Alumni Career Centers to help them find their dream careers.
Specialized Programs and Initiatives
Uplift Education offers a Dual Language Immersion program in Spanish and English at select primary schools. Additionally, the Heights high school is set to focus on healthcare careers starting in August 2024. The 'Learn & Earn' Scholarship Program allows scholars to earn up to $3,100 towards college or career pathways. Furthermore, Pre-K is available at most schools free of charge for qualifying students.
