Products
Valley Food Systems produces a variety of meal kits and food products including frozen sandwich meal kits, fresh sandwich kits, shelf-stable meal kits, grocery boxes, and retort pouches. Their fresh meal kits have a shelf life of up to 7 days refrigerated, while the shelf-stable meal kits can last up to 12 months. The frozen meal kits are approved by the Army Center of Excellence Subsistence (ACES) and have a shelf life of up to 6 months when frozen and 7 days refrigerated.
National Guard and Military Services
Valley Food Systems has been serving the National Guard with their innovative zero-waste A-Rations program since 1995. The service extends to various states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Indiana. They also provide group rations consisting of a single entrée packed into a modular unit for the US military, Air Guard, Army Reserves, and some active duty personnel training at Fort Indiantown Gap or Fort Pickett.
Commissary Operations
Valley Food Systems operates a modern 30,000 square-foot commissary equipped for producing high-quality meal kits and food products. All meals are packaged under HACCP regulations to ensure product integrity. The facility is also utilized for custom manufacturing and private label/co-packing of retort products.
Disaster Response
In times of natural disasters, Valley Food Systems has played a crucial role by providing essential meals. During the recent hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, they supplied a total of 3.25 million meals, demonstrating their capacity and readiness to support disaster relief efforts across the United States.
