Current Leadership Roles
Jackson Zee currently serves as the Interim Head of Southeast Asia/ CEO and Vice Chair FP Foundation (Thailand) at FOUR PAWS, based in Bangkok, Thailand. Since 2018, he has been responsible for providing guidance on administrative and operational support for the regional hub office. Additionally, he seeks synergies between content departments and staff units for storytelling opportunities to engage supporters. Jackson also focuses on impactful projects that assist communities and their animals in Thailand.

Since 2015, Jackson Zee has been working at FOUR PAWS as the Director of Global Affairs & Disaster Resilience, stationed in Vienna, Austria. Previous Positions in Animal Welfare and Conservation
Jackson Zee's career includes several key roles in animal welfare and conservation. He worked as a Wildlife Campaign Manager for World Animal Protection in 2012 in the Asia Pacific region, and as a Primary Investigator for The Nature Conservancy in the Greater San Diego Area from 2012 to 2015. His work has also involved executive leadership as he served as the Executive Director of Wild Care, Inc. from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, he consulted for the ASPCA as a Field Investigation and Response Consultant from 2011 to 2015.
Educational Background
Jackson Zee has an extensive educational background. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Behavioral Ecology from Columbia University, undertaken from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, he studied Conservation Biology at Peking University from 2003 to 2009, and secured a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from The University of Queensland between 1999 and 2004. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Behavioral Ecology from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Psychology from Hunter College.
Experience in Technical Committees
From 2021 to 2022, Jackson Zee was a Steering & Technical Committee Member for the Animal Welfare Resolution at UNEP/UNEA 5 process in Nairobi, Kenya. In this capacity, he contributed to developing and implementing strategies aimed at enhancing animal welfare on an international stage.
