VOTI Detection
Rapiscan Holdings, Inc. acquired the assets of VOTI Inc. and VOTI Detection Inc. on December 22, 2022, and will now manufacture VOTI systems through its subsidiary, Rapiscan Systems, Inc.
Acquisition by Rapiscan Holdings
On December 22, 2022, Rapiscan Holdings, Inc. acquired substantially all assets of VOTI Inc. and VOTI Detection Inc. through a bankruptcy process. This acquisition did not include any contractual or warranty obligations from VOTI Inc. and VOTI Detection Inc. Consequently, Rapiscan Systems, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rapiscan Holdings, will now be responsible for the manufacturing of VOTI systems.
Manufacturing Transition to Rapiscan Systems
As part of the acquisition process, Rapiscan Systems, Inc., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rapiscan Holdings, took over the manufacturing of VOTI systems. This move integrates VOTI's technology and product lines into Rapiscan’s existing manufacturing framework, leveraging its resources to continue and potentially expand the production capabilities of VOTI systems.
Technical Support Services
Following the acquisition, the global Rapiscan service organization will now offer technical support services for VOTI products. With over 350 service professionals, Rapiscan Global Service is well-equipped to provide extensive technical support, ensuring the continued reliability and functionality of the fielded VOTI systems.
Installed Systems Base
Prior to the acquisition, VOTI Detection had more than 3,500 fielded systems with a considerable number of highly satisfied customers. These systems are now under the aegis of Rapiscan Holdings, which will continue to support and service these systems through its extensive global service network.
