WBENC provides certification for Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) that is recognized by thousands of corporations and numerous government entities at the federal, state, and local levels. The comprehensive certification process involves meeting specific eligibility criteria, completing documentation requirements, and undergoing a detailed application process. This certification aims to enhance the visibility of women-owned businesses and open up new avenues for business opportunities.
Programs and Initiatives
WBENC offers various programs and initiatives, including executive education tailored to help women-owned businesses scale, as well as financial resources, networking opportunities, and pitch competitions. Significant initiatives include the Women Owned program, in partnership with WEConnect International, which promotes and supports women-owned businesses, and the Women of Color Program designed to strengthen the ecosystem for women of color entrepreneurs. The Women Owned in Retail program specifically assists women-owned businesses with consumer goods in thriving within the retail sector.
