From providing basic necessities to specialized programs, Westbay Community Action has grown into the largest provider of basic needs in Kent County. It assists nearly 10,000 households per year and operates with the support of over 90 dedicated staff members, local businesses, and volunteers.

Westbay Community Action offers a comprehensive array of programs and services to support individuals, families, and seniors. These include the Children and Teens programs, Education and Workforce development, and Emergency and Case Management services. The organization also provides food assistance through the Westbay Marketplace, the third largest food pantry in Rhode Island, and the Meal Assistance Program for Students (MAPS). Additional services include energy assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Good Neighbor Energy Fund, as well as lead poisoning prevention via the Lead Center. For seniors and disabled adults, the Senior Dining Program offers weekday hot lunches.
